AV PreeminentScott K. Tozian is a partner with the firm of Smith, Tozian, Daniel & Davis, P.A., in Tampa, Florida. Scott obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Florida State University in 1977 and thereafter worked as prosecutor (assistant and branch staff counsel) with the office of The Florida Bar from 1978 to 1981. After a two year term with the Office of the State Attorney in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, the office of Smith and Tozian, P.A. was established in 1983. Since that time, Scott has primarily represented attorneys in Bar grievance proceedings, represented applicants for admission to The Florida Bar, represented County, Circuit and District Courts of Appeal Judges in Judicial Qualifications Commission proceedings, and has been qualified as an expert in matters involving legal ethics or legal malpractice matters.

Scott is rated AV Preeminent, is a former chair of the Hillsborough County Fee Arbitration Committee and a present member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, Florida Association of Bar Defense Attorneys and the Goldberg-Cacciatore Criminal Law American Inn of Court, Inc. In addition, Scott has spoken on numerous occasions at legal seminars throughout the state, including before various sections of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, American Board of Trial Advocates, Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, Florida Prosecuting Attorneys Association, Stetson University College of Law, Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and Florida Lawyers Assistance, Inc.
